The constellation Aquila is probably best recognised for its brightest star Altair, one of the Summer Triangle with Deneb in Cygnus and Vega in Lyra, since it has no deep sky objects. It represents and Eagle and lies above the Scutum star clouds, seen in the image. At the top of the image can be seen Sagitta and the Coathanger asterism in Vulpecula.
