NGC869 and NGC884 together form the Perseus Double Cluster. Almost exactly half way between the point of Perseus and the flat side of Cassiopeia, they are quite easily visible to the unaided eye. Binoculars are the best aid to viewing them, as the entirity of both clusters can be seen in their full glory of streams of coloured stars.
